Why choose Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce Training?
“Excellent, not done an online curse for a few years so it was very easy for me. I came across it by chance on Google searching for online courses. Very good never had any issues with speed. Don't change if it works for others and then that's good. Very easy to log on and really liked that it saved or for you. I've spoken to Karen from the Support Team, very nice lady. Gave me a good basic understanding of dementia exactly what it was designed to do. I will look forward to completing another course with you. Again very good.”

Dementia Care eLearning

Dementia is an increasingly common and complex condition. This training course describes how the provision of care and support to individuals diagnosed with Dementia will reassure families, and enable lifestyles to be adapted so that changes taking place are accommodated and anxiety is reduced for everyone involved. This training will be useful for those providing professional care services, and also for those who have a loved one affected by dementia, helping them to 'live well with Dementia'.

The course prompts you to think about whether supporting them with informed choices on their level of understanding would help to positively enable them to make everyday decisions that they otherwise struggle with, rather than simply 'take over' and do it for them. Taking over may cause the person to lose confidence, resulting in them coping less well.
